The Eurasian Eagle Owl (Bubo bubo), is often referred to as the largest owl in the world with a wingspan of over 6 feet (200 cm). This borderless print captures the power and beauty of the bird. Inhabiting Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, the Middle East and Asia it is known to be powerful enough to prey on foxes and small deer. In the 19th century it was hunted to extinction in the UK because of it attacking livestock, for its ornate feathers for hat production, and trophy value to hunters.
